Mark of Friendship moved into second place this week with a 6-3 home win over Carbeile B. There were singles wins for A Triggs, A Walker, D Dillon, J West and R Perrens with K Scott replying for the Carbeile B. Carbeile did take the first two doubles to lose on the night by 6-3.
King Pins kept up their bid for runners-up with a 5-4 win over the Wheelers B. They led after the singles through K Harris, M Webb, W Cooper, A Miller and N A Miller. With the match already won the King Pins lost all three doubles but held on for a 5-4 victory.
Wilcove Warriors found themselves 4-2 ahead in the singles at home to the 200 Club A following wins from R Pender, K Tullett, R Bunston and B Sampson. 200 A replied through S Roche and K Davies. 200 took two of the three doubles to narrow the score to 5-4, and could have won the match if captain Trevor Endean had potted an easy black in the all deciding doubles.
Mosquito won their fifth match of the season after winning by 5-4 at home to the Millbrook FC. Mike Miller, Greg Phillips and Darren Minors winning for the Mosquito SC in the singles with the Mosquito taking the first two doubles for victory.
200 Club B came unstuck again and stay bottom this time losing at home to Kings A by 6-3. C Andrews, S McCann, I Canty and M Bright were all singles winners here for the Kings A, M Wilcocks and M Lee winning for the 200 B. Kings A took the first two doubles and the match 6-3.
