A ’Councillor Fair’ is being staged at County Hall to help people who may be considering standing for election this May.

The event is between 9.30am and 1pm on Saturday, January 28.

This year’s elections for the 123 new members of Cornwall Council are being held on Thursday, May 4.  The elections for Cornwall’s 213 town and parish councils are being held on the same day.

The aim of the all-morning event, which will be chaired by Ann Kerridge, the Chairman of Cornwall Council, is to provide information on the role of a councillor. 

There will also be information on the election process, and the support which is available for all newly elected councillors.
