AN ENGLISH Bull Terrier who is currently being looked after by the team at the RSPCA Cornwall Branch is currently waiting for his forever home.
Three-year-old Simba has now been in the care of the RSPCA for a total of 197 days and has been awaiting a home for 142 days.
Simba, who hasn’t had the easiest start to life, knows a range of commands, loves his food and is always on the go.
Leanne Bawden, from the branch near St Columb Major, said: “Simba has a huge personality and an even bigger heart so we don’t know quite why his perfect home hasn’t been found yet.
“He is full of energy, character, and enthusiasm for life, and he’s looking for a patient and understanding home that can help him continue learning all about the world around him.”
“He is a very clever boy and thrives when his busy brain is kept occupied with fun training, enrichment, and plenty of exercise. Like many bull terriers, Simba can be wonderfully goofy and affectionate, and while he may have a big bark at times, it’s quickly followed by even bigger cuddles!
“Although Simba is making lovely progress, he’s still learning how to feel comfortable around other dogs and would prefer to be the only pet in the home for now.
“His new family will need to continue his positive training and confidence building around other dogs, and our behaviour team will be happy to provide a training session before he heads home to help set everyone up for success.”
Simba, who is looking for an adult-only home or one with sensible older teenagers, is unable to live with cats or small animals.
He is also looking for a home where someone is around for most of the day while he can build confidence.
“With patience, kindness, and ongoing guidance, Simba will make an incredibly rewarding companion for the right home,” added Leanne.
“Simba offers endless love, loyalty, and plenty of entertaining antics to keep his family smiling.”
