ORGANISERS of the Looe Weekender music event have thanked the local community for making this year’s event such a success.

The action-packed three day festival, which took place from September 18 to 20, saw around 100 performances take place at multiple venues and pop-up stages across the town.

The event once again showcased the best local and regional talent with it’s comprehensive and eclectic line up of bands, duos and soloists who performed in East Looe, West Looe, and Hannafore.

Organised by local pubs, clubs and bars, the event has been running for five years following the collapse of the Looe Music Festival in 2018.

A Looe Weekender spokesperson said: “A huge thank you to each and every one of you who came and enjoyed the 5th free live music festival here in Looe.

“Thank you to all the musicians, sound and lighting engineers, Looe Town Council, Welcome To Looe and Polperro, Looe Harbour Commissioners, Looe Development Trust and Go Cornwall Bus.

“From the 20 venues, and the whole town of Looe, thanks for the love and support and for helping us, as organisers, to keep our community led and organised festival true to its roots and always free for all to enjoy.

“Finally, thank you to those who have made a pledge on our crowdfunder which has ended with £1,354 raised - which will help kick-start the 6th Looe Weekender in 2027, which will take place from September 17 to 19.
