After new figures showed 99 people slept rough on any one night in Cornwall in 2016 – the third highest number in England – charity StreetLink is calling on the public to use its app to alert local services when they see someone sleeping rough.

StreetLink is a mobile app and website ( www.streetlink.org.uk) that enables the public to send a referral when they are concerned about a rough sleeper.

The information gets sent to the nominated street outreach service – St Petroc’s – and the team goes out to make contact with the person and works with them to help connect them with local accommodation and support services.
