Usborne book organiser Vikki Dernham has donated a large number of books to children’s wards at Derriford Hospital.

At the end of last year, Vikki donated £1,000 worth of Usborne books so children staying at Derriford could have some new books to read.

‘As part of my role, one of the things we can offer schools and organisations linked with children is free books,’ said Vikki.

‘These can be gained by fund-raising events to raise the funds and then Usborne will add a percentage of additional free books, depending on the amount raised.’

Sue Rodgers of Derriford said: ‘These books have brought lots of smiles to our patients.
