EDF ENERGY

JUNIOR VASE

FOURTH ROUND

Stithians 10

Liskeard-Looe 32

LISKEARD-LOOE ran out worthy winners against a disjointed Stithians side in the Fourth Round of the EDF Energy Junior Vase.

In the first quarter Liskeard had a ten-point lead, with a penalty by Jamie Robbins, who also converted a fine try following a cross-kick gathered by Dave Hannah.

Stithians replied with a Martin Strick penalty on 39 minutes, only for Robbins to add a further penalty on the half-time whistle for a lead of 13-3.

The second half was only six minutes old when Stithians collapsed a scrum on their own line for the referee to award a penalty try, converted by Robbins.

Liskeard now had their tails up and went further ahead with an unconverted Dan Goodman try for a lead of 25-3.

On 62 minutes, Stithians had a rare surge forward when Ben Keay scored a well-worked try under the posts for Strick to convert.

Liskeard wrapped up a solid display with a second try for Hannah, converted by Ryan Morris, to set up a Fifth Round tie at Castle Cary, to be played on December 13.
