Six?Saltash friends are raising money for Cancer Research UK at an event at the town’s Cecil Arms pub.

The team, Chris Lewis, Elliott Noble, Mike Holman, Craig Holman, Nick Jenison and Alistair ’Tug’ Wilson, is aiming to cover the distance from Land’s End to John O’Groats and back in the shortest possible time.

They will be using two static push bikes with turbo trainers and a running machine to cover the 1,800 miles, and have estimated it will take around 50 hours.

The fund-raising event will take place from January 20-22, starting mid-morning on the Friday.
