Fountain Lions are equal top of Section A on points with Market as they are beaten 13-5 by a London side who move up to third place only three points behind the leaders. Market won away to Police.
Lions were 7-2 down against London but then won only three of the last nine games to finish 13-5 down for their second defeat on the Trot. Andrew Tamblyn and Brian Martyn won all six, Chris Penter and William Taylor won five for the London. Rod and Ivan Olver won three for the Lions.
Market continue their challenge with an away win at Police Club. Police were up but thereafter were always behind as Market powered to a 12-6 win, Sonia Kelly and Bill Stephens won five. Jim Kelly and Frankie Powell won four for the Market. John Waters and Melvin Riglar won three for the Police Club.
Highway A are fourth after winning away to Wheal Tor. Highway won the first games and never looked back finally winning 13-5. Jennie Anthony and Rob Pearson won all six, Ian Wilton and Simon Putt won all four for Highway A. Stan Skews and Dave Clatworthy, Maureen Skews and Ton Bolitho all won two for Wheal Tor.
Dobsons move up two places after taking the points away to Highway C. The games were six all after four rounds but then Dobsons won four of the last six to win 10-8. Vic Bray and Colin Butler, Steve Spearing and Mike Hutchings all won four for Dobsons. Francis Julian and Nigel Williams also won four for Highway C.
Con Club B stormed into an 8-1 lead over Legion B and ran out 13-5 winners. Val and Sue Pryor, Gary and Steve Pryor all won five for Con Club. Les Dennis and Bob Fricker won five for Legion B.
Garrison continue their winning run with an 11-7 win away to St Neot A. The scores were level at six all but Garrison then won five of the last six to take the points. Terry Lobb and Trevor Burton won all six. John Saunter and Chris Blackborow won three for Garrison. Mark Pearce and S Williams won three for St Neot A.
White Horse continue to lead section B by three points from White Hart A after winning against Barley. White Hart A are second as they won against a depleted Barley B team.
White Horse won their match 15-3 at home to bottom placed Barley A. White Horse went 6-3 up after three round and then won all the last nine games. Phil Kurn and George Keast, Nobby Clark and Steve Hawes, Bernie Hoskin and R Allen all won five for White Horse. Lisa Haley and Marion Denning won two. Rich Freeman and Bill Denning were brushed for Barley A.
White Hart A won 15-3 against a depleted Barley B team. All pairs scored five for the White Hart A. Neil Cloake and Terry Falconer scored all the points for Barley B.
Fountain are joint fourth with Market B and Legion C. Fountain got off to a slow start at home to Cheesewring and were 4-2 down. They then won eight of the next five games to take a 10-5 lead and run out 11-7 winners. M Pengelly and Lee Prout won five for Fountain Dawn Gregory and Jan Mitchell top scored for Cheesewring with four.
Lord Eliot won 11-7 at home to Market B. Lord Eliot were 8-7 up going into the last round and won all three games to take the points. Stu Braidwood and Tris Mutton won five with both other pairs winning three each for Lord Eliot. Neil White and M Brooks won three for Market B.
Legion C went 6-3 up against Police B and all but repeated the score in the second half to win 11-7. Sue Murray and Elaine Bendelow scored six with Jim Rodda and Brian Clift supporting with four for Legion C. Ashley Crocker and Ian Statton, Paul Mills and Gary Cutter all won three for the Police B.
