STUDENTS and teachers are rejoicing as Saltash Community School celebrates another year of excellent GCSE results.

A school spokesperson said: “We are incredibly proud of all our students who have achieved such a great set of GCSE results this summer. Their achievements are the product of years of commitment, good attendance, positive attitudes and a willingness to always do their best. Every student should be proud of what they have accomplished - we certainly are!”

Among this year's highest achievers were Alex C, who achieved an outstanding 7 Grade 9s and 3 Grade 8s; Ariana D, who achieved 2 Grade 9s, 3 Grade 8s, 3 Grade 7s, 1 Grade 6 and a Level 2 Pass; Isla C, who achieved 2 Grade 9s, 1 Level 2 Distinction, 5 Grade 8s and 1 Grade 7*; and Megan D, who achieved 1 Grade 9, 2 Level 2 Distinction*s, 5 Grade 8s and 1 Grade 7.

Staff said these achievements are a testament not only to the students' academic ability, but also to their “perseverance, commitment and ambition” throughout their time at Saltash Community School.

The spokesperson added: “We are especially thrilled that so many students have chosen to continue their journey with us in the Sixth Form. We cannot wait to welcome them back in September and support them as they take the next exciting step towards their future ambitions!

“As students celebrate their achievements and prepare for the future, everyone at Saltash Community School extends their warmest congratulations and wishes them every success in the next stage of their educational journey.
