A celebration of arts and culture inspired by nature launches Eden’s Art Festival on the weekend of September 14 and 15.

Visitors can try their hand at creative writing, painting and felt making, combining the beauty of nature and art. Woman Reclaiming AI (WRAI), will be holding workshops to design an alternative Artificial Intelligence Voice Assistant. The idea is to provide basic skills for visitors to help them create a different voice and consider how perceptions can be changed.

Beth Emily Richards, an artist and researcher, will be holding workshops on creative writing. Spoken word poet Taran Spalding-Jenkins, also known as The Cornish Writer, will be entertaining visitors with his honest and observational storytelling.

Dance companies Shallal and Cscape will also be showcasing their skills in a series of dance performances over the weekend.

The following weekend, September 21 and 22, features Orchestra of the Earth, a group of classical musicians committed to protecting the world and using music to motivate others to do the same. This inspirational group will perform a new version of Hans Christian Andersen’s classic story, The Wild Swans.

Workshops will allow families to get involved by making their own percussion instruments, so they can join the music making.

All activities at the Eden Arts Festival are included with admission. For more information visit https://www.edenproject.com/visit/whats-on/eden-arts-festival
