THIS year's Royal Cornwall Show recorded its second-highest attendance with 127,388 people coming through the gates over the three days.

The record stands at more than 129,000 in 2008 but the total was substantially up on last year's gate of about 126,000.

This year's total was achieved despite poor weather forecasts and some rain on the first two days.
