A MAN from Wales who threatened to slit a woman’s throat in Looe has been handed a suspended prison sentence.

Christopher Cosslett, 40, of Crescent Road, Sarn, Bridgend changed his plea to guilty at Truro Crown Court on a charge of, on May 21, 2025, at Looe, sending a message to a woman threatening death or serious harm — namely to slit her throat.

He was given a 14-month prison sentence, suspended for two years.

He was also ordered to do 100 hours unpaid work and must have treatment for his alcohol use.

He was made subject to a restraining order not to contact his victim or go to an address in Crumplehorn until September 15, 2033.
