A MAN from St Austell pleaded guilty to assaulting two police officers on two separate occasions at Truro Crown Court.

Zacharia Howse, 34, of NFA, St Austell pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer at Market Hill, St Austell on July 19.

He also pleaded guilty to using or threatening violence towards others between July 17 and 20 and assaulting a police officer occasioning him actual bodily harm at Sheerness, Kent, in October 2025.

He was given a 21-month custodial period with 13 months to be spent in prison.

A charge of threatening a man with a knife that had a three inch blade on North Street, St Austell on July 18 will remain on file.
