A MAN from Illogan has been handed a seven year sentence after he was found guilty of raping a teenage boy in Liskeard.

Dean Nash, 43, of Beacon View Park, Illogan was found guilty at Truro Crown Court of raping a 15-year-old boy at Liskeard in 2022.

The courts heard how Nash had intentionally penetrated the mouth and attempted to penetrate the anus of a boy aged 15 with his penis, when he did not consent and he did not reasonably believe that he was consenting.

Nash was sent to prison for seven years and made subject to a restraining order not to contact his victim until further notice.
