The leader of Cornwall Council, John Pollard will be joined by Andrew Wallis, the Council’s armed forces lead member, as well as senior representatives from RNAS Culdrose, HMS Raleigh, RAF St Mawgan, The Royal British Legion and SSAFA at County Hall, Truro tomorrow (May 12) at a ceremony to re-affirm the Council’s commitment to the Armed Forces Cornwall Community Covenant.
The covenant is a voluntary statement of mutual support between the civilian community and its local armed forces community.
The purpose is to encourage support for the armed forces community working and living in Cornwall and to recognise and remember the sacrifices made by members of the forces including serving and former personnel, their families and widowers in Cornwall.
