A LARGE, triumphant and celebratory parade through Bodmin town centre was a fitting finale to an excellent day’s carnival.

Starting from Fair Park, the parade made its way through town - with only a slight delay when the firefighters were called to a shout while going through the town.

A spokesperson for Bodmin Town Council said: “It was great to see so many people out in the town on Saturday enjoying the procession and supporting everyone taking part.

“A huge well done to the Bodmin Carnival committee and all the volunteers who put so much time and effort into making the day happen.

“Thank you as well to all the groups, performers, bands and everyone who took part in the procession and helped make it such a great day.”
