POLICE are appealing for information after vandals smashed windows at two properties in Saltash in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The damage was caused to Fox & Sons estate agents and a community kitchen in Fore Street shortly before 5.30am on November 1.

Devon and Cornwall Police said a group of two men and two women left the scene following the incident.

Enquiries are ongoing, with officers appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the damage or captured anything suspicious on CCTV or other footage to come forward.

The incident has sparked anger among Saltash residents, with several taking to social media to condemn the damage, particularly to the community kitchen, which provides support to local people.

One resident wrote: “Just sick! Community Kitchen does a lot for Saltash and even my family and I like donating towards their bread and pasties.

“Things like this is the reason charities close their doors and end their community services.”

Another said: “Who breaks into a charitable organisation for the community? Unreal. I volunteer at CEPL12 and they are the kindest group of people.”

Police are asking anyone with relevant information, CCTV or footage which could assist their investigation to contact them on 101 or report information through the Devon and Cornwall Police website, quoting crime reference number 50260292469.
