A CORNISH coach company has unveiled a special memorial livery which pays tribute to managing director, Jonathan Ede, who died earlier this year.

Jonathan had run the St Blazey-based family-run business – alongside other members Margaret, Karen, Andrew and Darren – since 1992 following the passing of his father Bryan.

Over the years, as relatives retired or left, he gradually took on greater responsibility, before assuming sole charge as managing director in 2011.

Following his death in July, his family were ken to do something special that kept Jonathan’s memory alive, and ensure that his legacy is part of everything the business does.

The special new livery is a fitting tribute to a man who has been described as the “heart and soul” of Roselyn Coaches.

A post on the Roselyn Coaches Facebook page read: “Back in July, we suddenly and unexpectedly lost my dad, and life has never been the same since.

“Not long after losing him, I knew I wanted to do something special to honour him and keep his memory alive within the family business that meant so much to him.

“We’ve decided to have one of our vehicles done in a special memorial livery dedicated to him. It’s something I’ve wanted to do ever since we lost him, and I’m so pleased that we’ve finally made it happen.

“Dad gave so much to this business, and as we continue to move forward without him, it’s important to me that his presence and legacy remain a part of everything we do.

“I just hope that wherever he is, he can see it, knows how much he is loved and missed and is looking down with a smile.”
