CHILDREN from South East Cornwall will be joining in a campaign to ‘Be the Change’ and tackle marine litter. As part of Clean Cornwall Week, Surfers Against Sewage (SAS) and Clean Cornwall are launching a new education programme in 16 schools across the county from today (March 7). Surfers Against Sewage’s education team will be delivering an interactive ‘Be The Change’ workshop to more than 2,000 children, including pupils of Looe Community Academy. Beaches The workshops will not only promote the work already being done but also highlight the need for more collective action to stem the tide of litter blighting streets, countryside, beaches and seas. SAS projects manager Dom Ferris said: ‘Litter knows no boundaries, it is a problem from source to sea. The solutions to this global crisis must start locally and where better to start than with Cornwall’s incredible schools?’
