Devon and Cornwall issued with multiple snow and ice warningsCornwall County Badminton Association (CCBA), is backing the event, which runs from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm, and the hall has been donated free-of-charge by the college's headteacher, Zelma Hill, and governors.
The tournament is open to any player, aged 17 and over, in Cornwall who is a member of a club affiliated to the CCBA. The format on the day will depend on entry size; however, it will be a handicapped tournament – thus giving every couple a chance of winning – covering level doubles and mixed doubles.
The League is asking for people to donate raffle prizes on the day and, of course, all entry fees will all go towards this very worthy cause.
Finally, spectators and supporters, including students, will be most welcome to call in to the hall throughout the Sunday.
