The community sergeant for the Caradon district, Steve Torr, is urging residents to keep a wary eye on Caradon's school premises during the forthcoming Easter holidays.

Steve said that, unfortunately, schools frequently fall victim to arson and vandalism during holiday periods.

He added that if a watchful eye is kept on such buildings this would help reduce crime, avoid pupils paying for vandalism through disrupted education, and stop schools having to fund repairs etc through their budgets.

Anyone who does see anything suspicious is urged to call 999 if the case is urgent, or contact the police via 0990 700 400.
