LISKEARD’S Aldi store is set to reopen next week following a major refit as part of a £300-million investment programme by the supermarket chain.

The store, in Charter Way, will welcome shoppers back on Thursday, November 12, following a significant upgrade designed to improve the shopping experience ahead of Christmas.

It is one of eight Aldi stores across the UK reopening this month after undergoing improvements as part of the retailer’s investment in its existing stores.

The work has included refreshed shopping areas and upgrades to key sections, including the bakery, health and beauty, fresh food and produce departments.

The store has also benefited from the installation of more energy-efficient technology as Aldi looks to modernise its estate and improve facilities for customers.

The reopening comes as the supermarket continues a major investment drive across the UK, with a focus on upgrading existing stores while expanding its network.

Jonathan Neale, Aldi UK’s managing director of national real estate, said: “We’re delighted to be welcoming customers back to these newly upgraded stores in time for Christmas.

“Whether it’s creating more space, refreshing key shopping areas or introducing more energy-efficient technology, we’re continuing to invest in our stores to make them even better for the communities they serve.”

Alongside its £300-million programme of improvements to existing stores, Aldi is investing a further £370-million in new stores across the UK during 2026.

The supermarket has also announced plans for an additional £900-million investment in 2027, which will include opening 40 new stores.

The Liskeard reopening is part of the retailer’s wider programme to improve its stores and expand its presence across the country.

The upgraded Charter Way store is due to reopen to customers on November 12.
