POLICE have made three arrests as part of an investigation into a sexual assault in Liskeard.
An increased police presence has been reported on the Trembraze track, just off Carlton Way on the Trevethan Meadows estate in Liskeard.
Police confirm that officers were called at around 8.10pm on Wednesday, August 19, following a report of a woman having been sexually assaulted around an hour earlier in the Carlton Way area of Liskeard.
A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: “Following extensive enquiries, officers have now arrested three teenage boys in connection with the incident. All three, aged 15, 14 and 13, have been taken into police custody.”
Residents in the area may continue to see an increased police presence as officers carry out enquiries and provide reassurance to the community.
A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson added: “The victim is being supported by specially trained officers.”
