Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious collision on the A30 next to the Plusha Services on Monday (May 22).

Emergency services were called at approximately 2pm following the collision between the Ford Transit Connect Van, driven by a 34-year-old man, and a Renault Clio, driven by a 66-year-old woman.

The passenger in the Clio, a 70-year-old woman, sustained a serious injury and was taken to Derriford Hospital.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Team carried out a forensic examination of the scene.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision and would also like to hear from anyone who witnessed the vehicles travelling on the B3297 Lewannick road prior to the incident.
