A family visiting relatives for a holiday in South East Cornwall were left with just the clothes on their backs after thieves made off with the entire contents of their car.
The family of four, who did not wish to be named, are relatives of Rachel Redgrove of Tremar Coombe.
They had made the journey from Northampton for a family wedding and had arrived in Liskeard late on July 29 to find that their hotel room had been double booked.
Then on Saturday morning, they returned to their car in West Looe Millpool car park to find that two suitcases of clothing, jewellery, camera and electronic devices had been taken.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said that a report of a theft from a White VW Tiguan had been made at around 11am on Saturday, July 30.
Anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the Looe Millpool car park area at around that time, or who may have found discarded items, or who have been offered items for sale, should contact the police on 101 or by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555111, quoting CR/052107/16.
Rachel has set up a Just Giving page to help replace the stolen items.
