Crews from Lostwithiel Community Fire Station put out a chimney fire at a property in Scrations Lane yesterday afternoon (January 15), using chimney rods and a stirrup pump.

Cornwall Fire and Rescue dealt with 124 chimney fires in 2015-16 and commented on the Lostwithiel incident on social media, urging people to get their chimneys swept.
