TWO men have been charged with murder following the death of Liskeard man Ian Davis.

Mr Davis, 56, was found inside a property at Baytree Hill with multiple injuries on Sunday, September 13.

Police were called shortly before 9.30pm after reports that a man had been found deceased at the address.

Mr Davis, who lived in Liskeard, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Four men were initially arrested on suspicion of murder and were later released on police bail while detectives continued their investigation.

Two of those suspects have now been re-arrested and charged with murder. They are Darrell Rowland, 49, of Trevarthian Road, St Austell, and Sukhvinder Singh Shokur, 58, of Liskeard.

Both men have been remanded in custody and are due to appear before Truro Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, October 1.

The latest development comes more than two weeks after Mr Davis was found dead, with detectives continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death.

A man in his 20s from Plymouth, who was also arrested on suspicion of murder, will face no further police action.

A fourth man, in his 30s from Liskeard, remains on police bail after previously being arrested on suspicion of murder.
