More than £25,000 worth of motorcycles were stolen in a ram-raid on a well-known bike dealership.

Police are seeking information following the burglary in St Blazey yesterday.

It happened between 2am and 3am at St Blazey MX, Tywardreath Highway.

Detective Constable David Squire, from St Austell station, said: ’A white box panel van has driven into the door and window causing significant damage to the building.

’We believe the suspects have then entered the building and stolen six motorcycles which are valued at over £25,000 in total. They placed them in the rear of the van before driving off towards Lostwithiel.

’We are appealing to the public for information. Anyone who has any information about this crime which can help with our enquiries, or who may know of the whereabouts of these bikes, is asked to call 101, quoting log number 73 of July 12.’
