Cycling friends help hospice

By Cornish Times in Charity

Two cycling friends have ridden 200 miles in just one day to raise money for St Luke’s Hospice.

Nick Slemon and Peter Browne set off in the dark to ride from Callington to Land’s End and back in memory of Nick’s mum Linda, who died in March after a brief battle with cancer.

The pair had to fight against rain, fog and head winds during their journey, and were grateful for the support of fellow cyclists who came out to greet them as they returned to St Mary’s Square in Callington.

Anyone who would like to support Nick and Peter in their fund-raising should pop into Callington Cycles in Fore Street.
