Degree students at Duchy College, Stoke Climsland, were given certificates and prizes by The Countess of Wessex, at the Devon County Show, following their victory in the Devon County Agricultural Association and Duchy College Strategy Competition.

Students on the BSc (Hons) rural business management course were offered the chance of putting their stamp on the show, through producing a business strategy report outlining plans to raise the show’s profile in the industry, increase visitor numbers and attract more sponsors.

They carried this out as a key part of their marketing module and the the winning team of Rachel Abrahall, Columb Anderson Hague, Scarlett Moon and Harry Tucker was joined by the runner-up team of Phoebe Atkinson, Jaen-Pierre Barendse, Michael Coombes and Tori Leggott to meet the Countess.
