Band's floating gig on the Tamar

By Cornish Times in Arts

Pentillie Castle, near St Mellion, is to host a one-off performance from folk rock band Mad Dog Mcrea on a pontoon floating in the middle of the River Tamar.

Mad Dog Mcrea will play on Weir Quay Boatyard’s pontoon on the Tamar, an area of outstanding natural beauty. The audience will be able to watch the amazing spectacle from the riverside fields.

The performance has come about after Mad Dog Mcrea performed for Weir Quay Boatyard on their new pontoon in April, then decided to sail on up the river to do a performance for Pentillie.

Everyone loved it so much, they decided to do it again on Sunday (May 21) this time based at Pentillie, and invite the public along from 1.30pm
